Student of Premiere Academy in Abuja has been awarded a scholarship to study abroad by the Governor of Plateau state. Sylvia Ulan Andrew, a native of Plateau state, Nigeria becomes the Pride of Premiere Academy in the just concluded West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination 2020.

Before gaining admission to

Premiere Academy, she performed excellently well in the National Common Entrance Examination and was offered a scholarship from Shell Petroleum Development Company throughout her secondary school education at Premiere Academy Lugbe, Abuja.

All through, she maintained top of the class, in every exam and every opportunity given to her to prove herself. In the 2020, West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, as a result of the rigorous educational programme geared towards excellence, Ulan put up a great feat of excellence, by smashing all nine (9) subjects with “A1s” in all subjects she sat for.

The Governor of Plateau State; Simon Lalong, being proud of this Excellent result achieved by a Plateau state indigene, invited and awarded her scholarship to study her dream course – Petrochemical Engineering in any foreign university of her choice.

In the midst of excitement, Shell Petroleum Development Company awarded her another scholarship to study in any University of her choice Ulan, who was so overwhelmed with the scholarships, thanked the Governor and Shell Petroleum Company for making her dream come through.

She promised not to disappoint them and the people of her state (Plateau), but rather to work harder to achieve more excellence. Premiere Academy has maintained a percentage pass rate in WAEC of 89% for the past nine years and are still improving yearly.

The five core subjects have been subdued by almost every student sitting for the exams in the school. The quality of teaching, standards of learning, and facilities are regularly reviewed and assessed for onward excellence.

As Premiere Academy gladly celebrates Ulan and the many students passing out of her school, who did notable well in the 2020 WAEC exams, it strongly stands to uphold its core mission which is "to develop children into leaders through providing a rigorous educational program that combines academic achievement with personal development, thereby creating a well adjusted, socially aware and responsible children who will go on to become "THE PRIDE OF THE NATION"
