Requirements to register for JAMB online in 2020


As a JAMB Candidate in 2020, you need to know the basic requirements needed to successfully register for JAMB online in 2020/2021 without making any mistakes. The Joint Examination and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has opened its portal for candidates to register and

apply for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).


The JAMB forms are now available for sale for the 2020/2021 JAMB registration, so you can purchase yours. The forms sales began on Monday, 13th January and will run through February 17. 


But before you purchase your form, please keep abreast of the requirements needed for your successful registration. If you want to register and write JAMB online this year, you have to meet certain requirements for JAMB online registration. So, without further ado, below are some requirements to register for JAMB online in 2020/2021:


1. The first requirement for JAMB 2020/2021 registration has to do with the question: how much is JAMB form in 2020/2021?


To register successfully for JAMB 2020 online, it will cost you nothing less than N4, 700 (four thousand seven hundred naira only). That’s the total amount it will cost you to successfully and register online for jamb this year.


If anyone is asking you to pay more than this, please know that you may be about to be scammed. Here is the total breakdown of how you will spend the N4,700 that it will cost you to register for the JAMB exam: Breakdown of the N4,700 JAMB Registration Fee for 2020/2021 i. JAMB 2020 Registration Form (E-Pin)– N3,500 ii. CBT Centre Registration Fee – N700. (For candidates who want to practice JAMB CBT) iii. JAMB Mandatory Textbook (Novel) – N500 (Sweet Sixteen) Total Cost: Four thousand, seven hundred Naira only: N4,700.


2. Create An Email Address.


You need a valid email address to successfully register for JAMB this year as is was in previous years. If you do not have one, go and open an account because you will be asked to provide your email address during the registration process. I'll advise you open and use a Google Mail account (Gmail) for your registration.


This will help you get other intended search results when you search for things on the Google Search engine and generally, Google is kind of handy.


3. Create a JAMB Profile In registering for your JAMB in 2021, the very most important step is to create your Jamb profile.


This is very crucial, in fact, without their JAMB profile, no student can write an exam. Last year, NIN (National Identification Number) was used to register but that was last year. That’s no longer obtainable this year.


You’ll also use your Jamb profile to check your JAMB result online when the result comes out in a few weeks; admission status checks, admission letter printing, and accessing Jamb caps and so on


You can register online by first creating your profile either through any of these three methods: SMS/Text Message Method Directly in Jamb website. Using JAMB Android Application. 4. Check JAMB Integrated Brochure & Syllabus System – IBASS Next requirement is to check your IBASS. You use IBASS (Integrated Brochure & Syllabus System) to check for the program you are eligible for and the institution whose requirements you satisfy. Once you have confirmed that your course of study is available in your preferred institution, you can proceed to the next step. 


5. You need the JAMB 2020 E-Pin Registration Once you’ve confirmed that your course of study is available in your preferred institution, the next requirement will be for you to now buy your JAMB 2020 E-Pin. JAMB E-pin for JAMB registration this year costs N3,500. The options available to get your E-pin are: Get E-Pin at Jamb Accredited Banks in Nigeria Paying on Jamb portal Go To Nigeria Post Office (NIPOST).


Paying With ATM Paying With Your Phone Let me explain better below the different methods of paying for jamb e-pin to procure the same. Payment Through Banks accredited for payment Including Micro Finance Banks All you need to do at any of the accredited banks is to present your Profile Code and pay by cash or card.


As simple as that and your E-PIN is delivered to your unique telephone number Payment Through POS This method of payment for your E-pin is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it.


Once you present your Profile Code and pay by card, E-PIN is then delivered to your unique telephone number. Payment Through Mobile Money Operators – This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets. Once you present your Profile Code and pay by cash, your E-PIN is delivered to your unique telephone number Payment Using Atm You can also pay to secure your E-pin using the regular ATMs around you but of banks participating in the JAMB exercise. 


You will simply select Bill Payment and then enter your JAMB profile Code and pay. Your E-PIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number Online Payment On Jamb Portal This method of paying for E-pin is also very easy for JAMB candidate.


All you need to do is Visit JAMB website: jamb.gov.ng, click Purchase of 2018 Application document enter your Profile Code and select payment method (InterSwitch or Remita) After these, you make payment and your E-PIN is then delivered to your unique telephone number.


You can also make payments Using Ussd (NIBSS/ERCAS) Dial *565*6*55019# Enter Profile Code Select bank and follow the prompts to complete payment, your E-PIN is then delivered to your telephone number.


6. Visit an accredited Jamb CBT Center Another requirement for you as a candidate for the 2020 JAMB examination is to visit an accredited and approved CBT centre.


Make sure you certify that a centre is accredited and approved before you go there. Remember, there are a lot of JAMB agents out there in Lagos and everywhere in Nigeria looking to scam candidates. The list of accredited CBT centres in each state can be found here. file:///C:/Users/admin/Desktop/Edusko.com%20Approved%20CBT%20centres.pdf When you get to the accredited JAMB CBT Centre, you will be given a CD containing: e-brochure showing guidelines on admission detailing list of tertiary institutions and available programmes of study; syllabus (e-syllabus) for the examination, a step by step guide on completion of the application form, a video message from the Registrar of JAMB and a demo on how to use eight (8) keys for UTME examination without mouse.


Carefully follow other processes at the CBT as specified. Ensure to submit accurate and congruent details throughout the processes at the CBT centres and throughout your registration process so as not to incur other inconveniences. Lots of candidates’ loose admission annually due to avoidable mistakes supplied to Jamb and their school of choice.


Check and cross-check your documents and make sure you submit correct details at all time to avoid putting yourself in trouble. Be careful! Do not rush and always cross-check. Also, make sure your subject combinations are accurate before you proceed.


7. Next is to get your 10 Fingers Biometric done (where applicable).


When you get to the registration centre or CBT centre, you are expected to do these four things: Jamb will take your entire fingerprint Your O-level or A-level result will be submitted. You can use awaiting result.


You can use two sittings. I.e, one awaiting and one complete result or two complete results.


8. Collect Your Jamb E-Slip Once you have carefully followed these processes, next, you are then required to get your examination slip. Your examination slip will serve as your entry passcode for writing the exam and it contains other important details you will need.
