Bridging the gap between school and university in person and online Bristol International College (BIC) is a new educational institution and a University of London Recognised Teaching Centre. BIC is currently offering the University of London’s prestigious International Foundation Programme to students aged 16 and above, via our own innovative Virtual Learning Platform and from September 2021, also from our teaching and residential centre in the heart of Bristol. From August 2020, students enrolled on the Online IFP will study 4 full-time courses from a choice of the following: Business & Management, Mathematics & Statistics, Pure Mathematics, Economics, Accounting & Finance, International Relations and Law. Students will receive 600 hours of online tuition (150 hours per course) between September 2020 and April 2021 when the Online IFP examinations will take place. In addition, BIC Online will provide 1-1 IFP course tutorials, EAL & IELTS support, academic study skills seminars, UCAS application support and careers advice as well as a variety of fun social activities e.g. virtual guided UK city and university campus. Successful IFP students will be awarded an internationally recognised certificate (equivalent to A-levels or IB) after just one academic year rather than two and which is recognised by the leading universities in the UK (Russell Group) and worldwide. The Bristol-based College will now be opening in August 2021, to offer the IFP in-country at our first-class academic and boarding premises set in the lively and desirable district of Clifton Village. Students studying in Bristol will benefit from small class sizes, outstanding boarding provision and pastoral care, a carefully selected international cohort, a more personal approach from our team of expert tutors and all this at our own facilities in the heart of Bristol. A unique and integral part of the in-country IFP is an eight-week professional internship at a leading Bristol based company which will give BIC students an authentic work experience in an industry sector related to their chosen field of study. For all students who enrol on the in-country IFP, BIC is running a two-week intensive pre-sessional course in August at the University of Bath which has also been designed to serve as a University Preparation Summer Course for any student aged 15-17 who is considering the UK for their higher education. BIC combines the best of British education with a global perspective, giving students a more rounded experience of academic life thanks to our unrivalled wrap-around services and highly qualified teaching professionals.
