Nursing is a very technical course of study in Nigeria, just as it is in many other parts of the world like Europe and the United Kingdom.

For this reason, you will find that many institutions in Nigeria do not offer Nursing as a course of study. But the good thing is that if you want to study nursing here in Nigeria, there are some good schools of nursing that have been accredited where you can study nursing.

Before I go into the crux of this post fully, there is a common misconception that I would want to address. Students usually get confused about the difference between studying Nursing in a university and studying Nursing at a school of Nursing or the school of midwifery.

If you are a little confused about the difference between the two, I’ll clarify it for you. Read Also: Top Best Universities Offering Nursing Course Of Study In Nigeria 2020 What’s the difference between a school of nursing and nursing in the university?

Simply put, a Degree in Nursing is offered at the university while Registered Nursing (RN) is offered in the school of nursing or college of nursing under hospital management. Also, a Degree in Nursing is run for 5 years in the university while Registered Nursing is run for 3 years in a school of nursing or school of midwifery.

In this write-up, we will focus on the top schools of nursing in Nigeria. Now that I have cleared that, let’s get to the list of the best schools of nursing in 2020 Top 11 Schools of Nursing in Nigeria 2020.
