Catoky International School
The focus of Catoky Primary is to prepare the pupils for greater exposure and further education and to equip them to play prominent and purposeful leadership roles in the larger society in the future. The school provides courses appropriate to the pupils’ capabilities and aptitudes. Such courses are sufficiently varied to encompass the needs of the people in all walks of life, not just for formal examination but also for non-formal genres of the curriculum.
Admission in to Catoky International Primary School require parents of prospect pupils to fill and submit an Admission Form which can be obtained at the school administrative office. A date will be given for an oral interview with the prospect pupil. For admission in to Upper Class (Primary 4 - 6) the prospect pupil will be required to take an Examination which he/she must pass. All necessary details on payment will be communicated.
Catoky International School was established on the 4th day of March, 1998. The school vision was born out of a deep concern to contribute to the progress of Primary Education in Nigeria.
Deaconess Comfort A.O Ajayi whom God gave the privilage, started Catoky International School. She appreciates the benefits of quality education - all round education of the highest standards. Using her God given resources, she moved on to fashion a christian school that will train pupils in wisdom, knowledge, stature and in favour with God and Man.
The school started with 4 pupils and 3 members of staff in the 1998/1999 academic session in her temporary site at 17 Obagi Street, GRA Phase II, Port Harcourt and by the special grace of God the number has increased in leaps and bounds over the years.
Over the years, a lot of children have passed through Catoky and some are in various prestigious Institutions of Higher Learning both in Nigeria and Outside the country.
