grenville schools

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Grenville. Starting a new school brings a lot of excitement, expectations and also anxiety on the part of both the children and their parents. While the children have no idea of what their new school entails and are looking forward to meeting friends. They do not know exactly what is coming with a new class and new teachers. The new children and parents have no clues about what is expected of them and some wonder if they will get along with the teachers or if their children will settle down quickly. We, at Grenville Schools, will do our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. We promise to give them all the love and care they need to make them feel safe and respected. We will be delighted to seeing your child be a part of our Preschool family. We are looking forward to getting to know each child and working with the family to get the best out of our children.

History of grenville schools

Grenville School was founded by Mr and Mrs Jide Babalola in 2011, in Ikeja-GRA, Lagos and based on the belief that education is a preparatory ground for children, in whose hands the country’s development and growth depends. Thus, an educational institution especially at the tertiary level must ensure that children are grounded soundly not only academically but also morally in preparation for becoming a responsible and caring citizen of Nigeria. To that end, all the structures that have been put in place are directed at achieving this vision. Classes have been equipped with the state-of-art technology and staffs have been selected to fulfil this vision through both experience and continuous training and up-dating of their knowledge and qualifications. The School of course has a long way to go to make a significant impact but the Lord has been kind to show that in Him all things are possible. The motto of the school speaks volume about our vision: Trust in God, Excel and Lead. Belief in the creator is the starting point of any educational development as it instils the many characteristics that make up the human kind. Through that guidance of life, the child then realises that he or she is duty bound to serve others and that this can only be done through knowledge and excellence. In accomplishing that, others then come to emulate their achievements through their guidance and leadership. For Grenville, we very much hope that this vision will in the future translate into leadership that will benefit the many citizens of our beloved country who yearn for better lives and development. Grenville follows the British curriculum and as such students at various points in their studies, will be expected to take examinations in final preparation for both the IGCSE and Cambridge A Level/International Degree Foundation programme. Grenville holds various entrance exams during Christmas, during the Easter break and in the summer period. Additionally, by special arrangement students may be allowed to come for an interview which may involve taking a specifically set of papers and assessment by the tutors likely to teach the child. Therefore, the school attracts students from within Lagos and throughout the country. As a deliberate policy, Grenville management has decided to keep its class sizes small as it is our belief that this one of the ways that we can help to ensure that children of all capabilities are brought up to a satisfactory level of performance. This is seen by many parents as a winning formula that will help the school achieve its long term goal of becoming one of the top schools in Nigeria and beyond. The recent addition of boarding facilities would now ensure that Grenville School is truly international as we begin to attract the children of Nigerians in the Diaspora, both from Europe and the Americas. These children apart from acquiring Nigerian values and culture will also help our other students understand the importance of diversity and social responsibility. All in all, Grenville students come not only from the GRA area of Lagos but as far as Lekki and its surroundings.
