At Highbury Angels Nursery School we value our pupils and staff. We work hard to provide a safe, secure and happy environment for children to learn and play and for our staff to feel comfortable and motivated to give their best. We promote teaching and learning to ensure children’s readiness and give them the foundation for a good future progress through their school and life as a whole. Established in 2015, Highbury Angels Nursery School was set up to provide parents in the community with much needed day care for their children. Parents can rest assured that they are leaving their children in an environment where they will receive the care and attention they need to give them the best start in life. The nursery is open from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm (Monday to Friday). The nursery is open throughout the year apart from three days a year for curriculum planning. We are also closed throughout the Christmas period. Highbury Angels Nursery School is in the business of delivering a quality service of day care to children. Our principal aim is to provide a happy, holistic, caring and secure environment for children (3 months to 5 years). All our children benefit from 'learning through play' which is our main focus. We have created a conducive environment that encourages dependent and independent learning. Our structured pre-school programme is designed to stimulate and enhance each child’s learning and social development, providing an excellent foundation for school and later life. It is designed to suit the needs of young children, with large, bright, play rooms, all complete with modern indoor equipment and a variety of age appropriate toys. The nursery is organised by age groups so that rooms, toys, equipment, food, rest and routines meet the needs of the individual child. Each room has its own unique character, carefully and creatively planned to provide children with opportunities for work, rest and play throughout the year. We are committed to providing the highest standard of childcare possible and also committed to developing a close relationship with parents as they know their child better than anyone. Our ambition is to lay the basis of quality care and learning in children to enable their development throughout their life. As a crèche and a nursery, we believe in building a strong foundation for each child, a foundation that will form the basis of their physical and physiological development. We aim to fully equip them for the rest of their education ahead of them. Therefore, setting out an exciting, encouraging and an inspirational environment for our little ones is fundamental. We set a very realistic and achievable curriculum suitable for children their age. We also work hard with each child and also in groups to bring out the best of their ability, taken into consideration every child is different and works at different levels. Highbury Angels will be working together with some of the best primary and junior schools to form feeder school partnerships. This will mean every child who leaves Highbury Angels will have the potential to gain priority admission at these feeder schools.
