We shall continue to develop strategies to assist children in their passage from the sensory to the absract. Emphasis will be placed on nurturing the forces inherent in all children to think creatively and to search for new ideas and solutions to problems facing today's society. Elements of this society includes studies in social and natural sciences, languages (local and foreign), mathematics, music, arts, information and communication technology. It will also provide opportunity for responsibility and learning. We shall strive to produce high quality pupils at very moderate cost to parents and guardians.

The school was established on the 21st of September 1998 by a group of five forward looking Nigerians who were motivated by a vision to build a generation for God through education. This passion has been the moving spirit and the mainstay of the school since inception which equally informed the mission statement: "Building future leaders through functional and moral education in a Godly environment". The school has been keeping faith with this since inception. Apart from teaching academics to a pool of young educated children, in Straitgate School, special care is taken to inculcate moral values and knowledge of God into them. It is also the belief of the school that education goes beyond classroom teaching. In furtherance of this belief, organized and adult supervised educational travels and tours are arranged for pupils annually. The pupils have visited France, London, South Africa, Russia, America, Ghana and Dubia over the years. The School is located in high brow Magodo G.R.A, Lagos. It moved to its permanent site in 2003 in order to provide a conducive environment of study for the children. The purpose built structure has twenty four (24) classrooms, a school hall, a modern ICT laboratory, an art studio, a fully equipped library, Science Laboratory, Health Bay and Kitchenette. The administration department boasts of the Group Head teacher’s office, a general administrative office, a school clinic. The school has installed electronic interactive learning media board in all its classrooms. Modern teaching aids and instructional materials are also provided to aid learning. The teaching methods adopted are highly specialized, Christ centered with emphasis on self development and creativity.
