UNION BAPTIST GRAMMAR SCHOOL WAS ESTABLISHED BY THE ILORIN BAPTIST CENTRAL ASSOCIATION WHICH COULD NOW BE REFERRED TO AS ILORIN EAST BAPTIST ASSOCIATION AND ILORIN WEST BAPTIST ASSOCIATION IN OCTOBER, 1994. The School was officially opened on the 3rd October 1994 at Calvary Baptist Church premises in Gaa–Akanbi, Ilorin. It started at 10a.m. with Church as a sign of obedience and thanksgiving to God Almighty who made the dream come through. At the inauguration, thirty – two (32) students registered, twenty – three (23) of them as day students while nine (9) of them registered as boarding students. Today, the School population stands out as which includes day students and boarding students. Excellence, being the watchword of its founder and visionary, we employed the services of dedicated and hard-working teachers as well as supporting staff to take charge of the students and to the glory of God, the school has recorded many success stories too numerous to be counted. One of these was recorded in students’ performance of 100% in public exams and spelling Bee competition. This is a pointer to the fact that the school is an unrepentant apostle of excellence. Since its inception in October 1994, Union Baptist Grammar School, located on Agbabiaka road, Gaa-Akabi Ilorin, has been committed to the provision of quality education that excels by national standard. Our focus is on the overall development of the child, which we achieve by providing superior infrastructure and a caring environment that are based on sound Christian foundations.
