Ikoyi Nursery School (INS) is one of the oldest nursery schools in Lagos having been established seventy-four years ago in 1946 by a small group of parents who had a strong belief in the importance of a solid early educational foundation, and a commitment to creating an environment in which every child was recognized for his or her own unique attributes, and was able to flourish. Since its establishment, Ikoyi Nursery School has maintained its small size and currently has forty-two students divided into three classes, all between the ages of two and five years. The school’s success through the years is based on a strong governance structure and the unwavering commitment from all its stakeholders who include its board of Trustees, its parents, and its staff.
