This is the official ranking of the best secondary schools in Nigeria in 2023

The world is changing constantly. The practices we uphold today may not be so relevant tomorrow. When it comes to the field of education, change is even more rapid. Discoveries and technologies emerging

every day change the way we teach and learn. For example, back in the ‘60s, there were no pre-schools or nurseries. Children didn’t start school until they turned 5 years old or older. Today, not only do children start school earlier, innovative learning technologies and experiential methodologies have emerged making learning more effective. Schools now talk about virtual learning, mastery-based grading, personalized learning, brain break, gamification, blended learning, neuro-education, STEAM curriculum, etc.

In Nigeria, at the forefront of the adoption of some of these changes is the private education sector. Some privately owned schools in Nigeria have continued to drive global best education practices and standards. These schools have taken on the responsibility of providing quality, lifelong education that prepares a whole child for the future.

This ranking unveils some of the secondary schools across the country that are championing quality education. We explored some of the works of these secondary schools in the past academic session. More importantly, we find out why they make the list of the best schools in Nigeria in 2023 ranking out of thousands of others.
